Vision Seat AssemblyWhen you receive your new Vision bike from the Hostel Shoppe, the seat will most likely be partially disassembled for ease of shipping. The instructions below should help you get your seat reassembled quickly and safely. ![]()
An often overlooked feature is Vision's seat tube pocket - it's important to place each seat back mast into the small pockets at the top of the seat fabric. It's typically a tight fit to get the seat fabric over the top of the seat frame mast, but some slack can be obtained by loosening the main strap underneath the seat cushion. ![]()
There are three flaps on each of the three seat-back sections. BOTH of the shorter (loop) straps wrap around the OUTSIDE of the seat tube. Note that the seat tube is NOT sandwiched between the two. ![]()
Pull the inside short strap and the long strap together as tight as possible. The long (hook) strap velcros to the inside short (loop) strap. This is where you can adjust the support of the seat by tightening and loosening different sections of the seatback. ![]()
Secure the seatback straps by velcroing the outside short strap to the long strap. The finished assembly should have the long strap sandwiched between the two shorter straps. ![]()
Proper seat bottom fabric attachment. This should be properly attached when you receive your bike. Please refer to your owner's manual for more information. ![]()
Place seat in the rear mounts with the metal/rubber washers to the outside of the seat braces. Tighten the seat skewer in the 90 degree position shown. If the skewer lever is straight down, and the seat slips, the skewer can become trapped in one of the seat braces. ![]()
Attach the forward seat skewer with the side plate installed on the chain side of the bike. The seat skewer plate can fall off easily when transporting the bike without the seat on it. We suggest removing the skewer assembly during transport. | ||||||||
