Vision Chainguard InstallationIn order to install a chainguard on a SWB Vision with the new double-idler setup, there are some modifications that need to be made to provide enough clearance for the forward idler assembly. The Hostel Shoppe solution to the problem is shown below. |

Disassemble the idler assembly and carefully cut the spacer to make two
spacers as follows: The shorter (outside) spacer
should be 19mm long and the longer (inside) spacer should be 27mm
long. |

Reassemble the idler and re-install. Picture #2 shows proper chain routing without the chainguard for clarity. |

Next, remove the protective paper and install the chainguard loosely. Adjust the chainguard to achieve about 1-2 cm clearance between the chainguard and crankarm when the crankarm is positioned at about 9:00 (see picture). Tighten the chainguard mounting bolts. Picture #3 shows the chainguard with it's protective paper for visibility. |
