Introducing the Scorpion fs, the first fully suspended folding tricycle recumbent. The trike has been awarded with the 2008 Eurobike Award for its innovative design and outstanding product quality. For the best road holding characteristics and superb traveling comfort, HP Velotechnik's development engineers have taken modern chassis technology from automobile technology and introduced it into the bicycle world. For the first time, adjustable McPherson shock struts are used on the front wheels of their Scorpion fs recumbent tricycle. The stabilizer bar under the wishbones of the front axle prevents trike and rider from leaning outward excessively in fast cornering.
With 2.4 inches of suspension travel on the front wheels and 3.1 inches of movement at the back, this machine spoils the rider with luxurious traveling comfort, while the "No Squat" design prevents any precious pedaling power being lost to the suspension. With a weight starting at 39.5 pounds, amazingly low for a full suspension machine, the Scorpion fs performs well even in the mountains. The reclined seating position of the BodyLink hardshell seat or the alternative airy ErgoMesh seat, combined with a seat height of 11.8" and a 16.1" high bottom bracket, gives the newest addition to the Scorpion family a sporty riding position for the best aerodynamics.
For transporting the Scorpion fs, it can be folded in 60 seconds to a size of 40.2" x 32.7" x 24.8" without the rear rack, or, if you remove the wheels, it will reduce the folded size to 35.4" x 29.1" x 18.1". HP Velotechnik does not allow any compromise on strength or ride quality, even with the folding facility and will give a 10 year warranty on the frame.

Riders over 198 lbs will need to purchase the hard yellow springs (#39899) and grey stabilizer bar (#39898) to prevent pogoing of the front suspension.
Important – Adjustable Boom Warning
When adjusting the boom, the chain length needs to be adjusted accordingly. Riding with improper chain length can cause damage to both the rear derailluer and frame. Always make sure there is enough chain for the big chainring/big cassette cog gear combination. We recommend the following tools to adjust chain length: Park Mini Chain Brute Chain Tool (#59828) and Park Master Link Pliers (#30788).
