HP Velotechnik Grasshopper fx - 2010
The foldable GrassHopper fx is the perfect pleasure ride for spontaneous tours in distant regions. It folds in 60 seconds for easy transport in trunks and train compartments. The 2" extended wheelbase gives you an even more relaxed ride with or without luggage.
Commuting usually combines rougher roads with frequent stops and starts. The Grasshopper’s adjustable front and rear suspension smoothes out the bumps and the 20” wheels help it accelerate quickly from the stop signs. The seat height is low enough for easy stopping and starting but high enough to provide reasonable visibility in traffic. This ideal commuting machine doubles as a respectable touring bike thanks to the aerodynamic rider position and the option to equip it with all the racks needed for hauling a big load.

Comes stock with Aerobar direct over seat steering.
Direct over seat steering with the Terracycle Folding Stem is available by special order.
Under seat steering is available for an upgrade charge by special order.
Choose either the BodyLink seat or the ErgoMesh seat.
Folds to 38x24x28” - Above seat steering.
Folds to 38x20x28” - Under seat steering.
Sizing Notes:
One size fits riders from 5’ 2 1/4" to 6' 7".
X-seam range: 41.5" to 48". Boom can be cut down for shorter riders. Or, get the seat mount that moves the rider forward 4 cm.
Weight limit is 275 lbs.
Soft spring = up to 183 lbs
Medium spring = up to 230 lbs
Hard spring = up to 275 lbs

Important – Adjustable Boom Warning
When adjusting the boom, the chain length needs to be adjusted accordingly. Riding with improper chain length can cause damage to both the rear derailluer and frame. Always make sure there is enough chain for the big chainring/big cassette cog gear combination. We recommend the following tools to adjust chain length: Park Mini Chain Brute Chain Tool (#59828) and Park Master Link Pliers (#30788).
