Volae ES Frame

The future of traveling is here today with the NEW VOLAE ES frames. Whether you want a Dual 650 high racer, a Dual 26” high racer or a 26/20 touring recumbent to take on trips overseas or across the states, you won’t have to compromise performance when you ride a Volae recumbent with the ES option. The cleverly engineered frame separates in the middle to facilitate packing in a standard bike travel case while preserving the high performance that you demand.

Some travel bikes compromise performance to make the bike extremely compactable for traveling. Volae chose to retain the legendary Volae performance even though it means that you may have to pay an extra fee to take your bike with you.

2008 RANS Stratus XP - 2008

The Stratus XP borrows the passive suspension from the classic Stratus frame and adds the performance aspect of dual big wheels. Only 2.875" longer over the classic Stratus, this is perhaps as compact as big wheel long wheel base recumbents get. The bike does it all well: climbing, cruising and handling. An excellent touring or commuting machine, the Stratus XP is an excellent choice for riders who prefer a long wheelbase and a lower bottom bracket yet want respectable performance. 2008 RANS V3 Aluminum - 2008

This is the long wheelbase steed for speed! The dual-26" cockpit is compact with the handlebars within easy reach. Weighing in at a mere 22.5 lbs the V3 is a good climbing machine that can hold very nice cruise speeds. Seat to BB height is not as extreme as a high racer and the seat height is nice and low to allow the shorter rider to fit well, a very compatible frame for any level of rider.
